Car Repair FAQs

If you run a regular / conventional oil in your vehicle, then we recommend it be replaced every 3,000 miles.  If your car takes a full synthetic, then we recommend it be changed every 6,000 miles.

The State of Pennsylvania allows an inspection to be performed 2 months ahead of it being due.  For example, a March inspection can be done beginning in January.

We will require a current PA vehicle registration card and proof of insurance.

We recommend tires be rotated every other oil change.

There are many reasons why your check engine light may come on.  Some are serious, while others are not.  Think of a yellow solid check engine light as a “caution” signal.  This type of indicator light should be checked out when convenient.  A blinking yellow check engine light is a more serious concern as it usually indicates an engine misfire or performance issue and could cause damage if let unaddressed.

We do require appointments; however, we do realize that often times automotive issues arise unexpectedly so we always do our best to accommodate most requests.
